Meet The Team

Every one of our core team members & seasonal instructors can’t wait to meet you & give you a fantastic experience out on the water/land.

Our dedication in providing quality sessions will allow you to walk away, not only having had the best time, we also would love you to learn something while challenging yourself.

We love working with absolutely everyone & want you to come & have fun.

HEAD OF OUTDOOR & NCS LEAD

Harry Williams

CHIEF INSTRUCTOR

You will more than likely find Harry out & about on the water delivering sessions, however he will be found in the office as he organises the outdoor centre, looking after the staff team & maintaining the equipment.

For 2023, Harry has put together a NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma for Weymouth College.

With his knowledge & hands on approach, 2023 is THE year for OUTDOOR LEARNING!!

Ewan Murgatroyd

SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

Ewan organises & manages the free lance instructors, ensuring everyone is on the same page & all set for the day ahead.

Working closely with Harry (chief instructor), Ewan uses his experience & abilities to open WPA to new ideas.

Recently, after our summer season finished, Ewan went to Greece & wrapped up another season teaching sailing & windsurfing.

Amanda Guilbert

ADMINISTRATOR

Why not pop in and see her in our office. Amanda manages the bookings and is your direct contact for enquiries & questions you may have.

Amanda is also WPA’s marketing manager, looking after our website, making content & keeping you all up to date with whats to come on our socials.

She also works closely with NCS, supporting the team whenever possible.

Seasonal Instructors

Bry & Mali

Bry & Harry (chief instructor) studied Outdoor Pathway together & today their paths still cross.

This summer Bry joined us a as permanent member of staff, which we absolutely loved.

Mali was a nice surprise for the team, when Bry adopted her. We love you both.

Poppy & Jacob

At the start of the summer, both Poppy & Jacob completed their L3 – Outdoor Pathway Course at Weymouth College.

Lucky us, they decided to spend most of their summer working for us.

Poppy is now a qualified swimming teacher & Jacob is heading to the states to begin working as a deckhand.

Ed

A familiar face around the academy, we made Ed more permanent this season & he was a huge asset to the team.

At the end of November Ed is heading to France for seasonal work, where he starts a new adventure along with his girlfriend. Exciting!

Luis & Jenson

Our man for climbing. Luis is a in – demand free lance instructor, for his knowledge & experience. The fact he has Jenson, is a bonus.

Luis maintains our climbing equipment & kit & is also very handy with the camera, providing us with content. Thank you.

Recently he went on a cycle tour around France.

Harry C

Recently Harry left his position at Weymouth College, where he was Student Services Assistant and is now at university. Hopefully, without seaweed on his face…

He loves climbing & bouldering, travelling around the UK to challenge himself.

Josh (Shep)

Shep is what he goes by at WPA. The children love him as he makes kayaking & raft building his own – adding his own spin on the sessions.

A huge gamer & unless you offer him chocolate….. well, we’re still not sure if he eats anything else…
